Portland Cinco de Mayo

It was raining when I left the house, but the rain stopped just after I arrived on the Portland waterfront. We had a team of three who handed out tracts and shared the gospel with quite a number of people. What looked like a washout turned into a blessed evening.

We were so busy sharing the gospel that I did not get photos of our team. It seemed like every other person I gave a milliondollar bill to asked, "What's this?" Of course, we explain what it is (a gospel tract) as well as share the gospel.

It was a truly amazing evening. Normally I hand out tracts and share the gospel with anyone who expresses an interest. Maybe one out of ten people express an interest in learning more. At Cinco de Mayo it seemed like nearly everyone was asking to hear more. we shared the gospel with one group of people after another.

"Whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved though Him." - John 3:15-17
